Fans Are Being To Hard On Valverde

Yes it would have been great for Justin Verlander to get the opening day win and even better a shutout. But the bottom line is that the Tigers got the win and played well.

Valverde has now converted 75 of 79 save opportunities while playing for the Detroit Tigers.

NL Baseball Preview for 2012

As promissed, here is the Baseballz preview of the Senior League

NL East – Philadelphia Phillies
This team probably still has the best starting pitching in the Majors. A run in September should be all that matters at this point. I’m not drinking the Miami Marlin Kool-Aid just yet.

MLB Preview For 2012

Central – Detroit Tigers
Losing Martinez in the preseason looked like the Tigers were loosing a big bat for the year. Prince Fielder changed that around really quick. After winning the division by 15 games last season, the division is the Tigers’ to lose. If Verlander plays close to how he did last season and the rest of their starters hold up, they are a threat to win the whole shebang.

The roofless ballpark still had their fanfest though since the main roof was still able to be placed over the middle of the field to cover most of the activities.

2012 World Series Winning Odds | BaseballZ

With the announcement of Prince Fielder going to the Detroit Tigers, Detroit’s odds to win the 2012 World Series have jumped from 14-1 to 9-1.
I see that the Oakland Athletic’s odds are near bottom at 75-1. Billy Beane better get on top of that and email Jose Canseco to help boost those odds.

Jose Canseco Says He Will Be Playing This Year

I was browsing some Twitter accounts for major league baseball players when I came across the Twitter account for ex player Jose Canseco. As I scrolled down his account I came to the conclusion that the man has lost it.
